Prepare proposal for widening highways, UP tells Ghaziabad

Senior officials from the Uttar Pradesh government have asked the Ghaziabad administration to prepare a proposal for widening national highways, so traffic flow in the district can be eased. ;”>After inspecting some areas, Principal Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra directed the authorities to send a proposal for widening the National Highway-58 (Delhi-Meerut road) eight-lane and joining it with National Highway-24 to make things easier for people commuting between Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad.

A plan to construct a flyover akin to the one at AIIMS has also been discussed, and would soon be sent for approval.

The Noida Authority on Monday gave in principle approval for extension of proposed line 8 — Janakpuri to Kalindi Kunj — up to Botanical Garden in Noida Sector 32. While the Delhi cabinet and the group of ministers have already given its approval to the project, senior DMRC officials said approval an

d signing of memorandum of understanding between the Noida Authoirty officials and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is mandatory to ensure immediate construction.

The 3.7-kilometre extension will have just one station en route — tentatively named as Amity Metro station for its proximity to Amity University — and will end at the existing Botanical Garden Metro station. The extension is likely to cost R786 crore.

जापान के लिए आज रवाना होंगे अफसर

दिल्ली-मुंबई इंडस्ट्रियल कॉरिडोर (डीएमआईसी) प्रोजेेक्ट को अमलीजामा पहनाने के लिए ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी अफसरों की टीम जापान के लिए शनिवार को रवाना होगी। टीम का नेतृत्व अथॉरिटी के डीसीईओ करेंगे। उनके साथ टीम में फाइनैंस और प्लानिंग के अफसर भी शामिल हैं। अथॉरिटी अफसरों की टीम जापान में प्रोजेक्ट में किस तरीके से काम किया जाए, इसके लिए कितनी जमीन की जरूरत होंगी। पैसे जुटाने के अलावा प्लानिंग पर भी विचार किया जाएगा। अथॉरिटी अफसरों का कहना है कि पिछले हफ्ते कॉरिडोर प्रोजेक्ट को लेकर लखनऊ में हुई बैठक के बाद शासन से हामी मिल जाने के बाद प्रोजेक्ट के लिए जमीन अधिग्रहण करने की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। पहले चरण में 12 गांवों की जमीन अधिग्रहण की जानी है। अथॉरिटी ने 3 गांव पल्ला, चिटहरा, कटहरा में सर्वे शुरू कर दिया है। अथॉरिटी अफसरों का कहना है कि बैठक में तय हुआ था कि प्रोजेक्ट को अंतिम रूप देने के लिए अथॉरिटी का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल जापान भेजा जाए। इसी क्रम में अथॉरिटी के डीसीईओ अखिलेश सिंह, जीएम फाइनैंस ललित विक्रम वंसतवानी और डीजीएम प्लानिंग निमिशा शर्मा जापान के लिए शनिवार 11 बजे फ्लाइट से रवाना होंगे। ये अफसर 8 दिनों तक जापान में रहेंगे और वहां पर प्रोजेक्ट के लिए कई महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर बातचीत कर ट्रेनिंग भी लेंगे। प्रोजेक्ट को भारत और जापान मिलकर काम कर रहे हैं।

At a high-level meeting, chaired by Meerut commissioner, officials approved the route of high-speed trains. Orbital trains will link Metro rail and high-speed trains. The meeting, also attended by officials of Ghaziabad, Noida and NCR Planning Board in Meerut, decided the merging point — Meerut road trisection in Ghaziabad — for first-phase high-speed trains and Orbital rail. The DPR for the phase of high-speed trains has already been prepared. 

Greater Noida to Ghaziabad in 13 minutes !

This news is relating to new 4 lane link road between Greater Noida (from DSC road near Yamaha factory) to NH-24  near Vijayanagar in Ghaziabad. The tender for the pending 1.5 km stretch road construction work has been issued and the work is expected to be completed within 3 months from start of work in Jan 11.

सराय काले खां।। लगभग पांच सौ करोड़ रुपये की लागत से तैयार हुई बारापूला एलिवेट
रोड का सफर मंगलवार से शुरू होने जा रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित ने मंगलवार को दिल्ली की इस पहली एलिवेटेड रोड का उद्घाटन करने के लिए मंजूरी दे दी है। उद्घाटन के बाद उसी दिन से इस रोड को वाहन चालकों के लिए खोल दिया जाएगा। इस तरह लगभग डेढ़ महीने से इंतजार कर रहे वाहन चालकों को इस सड़क के इस्तेमाल करने का मौका मिलेगा। इस सड़क का सबसे ज्यादा फायदा पूर्वी और दक्षिण दिल्ली के बीच आने-जाने वाले वाहन चालकों को मिलेगा। यही नहीं, इसका असर आश्रम चौक और उसके आसपास के रिंग रोड के हिस्से पर भी होगा, जहां ट्रैफिक का दबाव कुछ कम होगा।

Hi Tech City Ghaziabad-Farmers Protest on Compensation

Farmers stage protest outside GDA office

Ghaziabad, Nov 25 (PTI) Hundreds of farmers today staged a demonstration outside the office of Ghaziabad Development Authority demanding proper rate for the land acquired from them for developing a hi-tech city.
GDA has been acquiring land of 14 villages for setting up the hi-tech city that will be developed by private builders.
The farmers, under the leadership of Dr Jitender Nagar, also protested the visit of state housing secretary, who visited the GDA to hold meeting with its officials.
Though officials assured of “lawful action” in the land acquisition process, farmers demanded that they should get the land rate equal to that of Greater Noida.
They also threatened to take back their land acquired for the project if their demands were not met.

ग्रेटर नोएडा, संवाददाता : ग्रेटर नोएडा की स्थापना को दो माह बाद बीस वर्ष पूरे हो जाएंगे, लेकिन अभी तक सड़क मार्ग से दूसरे शहरों से जुड़ने का सपना साकार नहीं हो पाया है। दिल्ली, गाजियाबाद, दादरी जीटी रोड, दनकौर, अलीगढ़, मथुरा, आगरा व हरियाणा को जोड़ने के लिए बनाई जा रही सड़कों का निर्माण किसानों के विरोध के चलते अधर में रुका पड़ा है। प्राधिकरण दावा कर रहा है कि कुछ परियोजनाओं का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। शीघ्र निर्माण शुरू हो जाएगा।

पेरीफेरल हाइवे

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली के चारों तरफ पेरीफेरल हाइवे का निर्माण होना है। यह ग्रेटर नोएडा के 39 गांवों की सीमा से होकर गुजरेगा। अप्रैल 2010 में निर्माण कार्य शुरू होना था, लेकिन दादरी के बील अकबरपुर व सिरसा गांव में आबादी बीच में आ जाने की वजह से किसानों ने अडं़गा लगा दिया। जिलाधिकारी दावा कर रहे हैं कि किसानों से सहमति बन गई है। मुआवजे का वितरण हो चुका है।

Greater Noida to Ghaziabad in 15 Minutes!

The 1.5 km long stretch of link road that connects 130 meter expressway (Noida- Greater Noida Link road) to NH-24 would be completed. Moreover, work on 130 meter expressway is also expected to be completed by March 31, 2011. This 130 m expressway would connect the Eastern Peripheral Expressway near Sirsa for connectivity to Palwal on KMP expressway. The same 130m highway would also join Yamuna expressway if someone wants to go to Agra (and in future Jewar airport) from Ghaziabad. So good news for both Ghaziabad and Greater Noida.

ग्रेनो से गाजियाबाद पहुंच सकेंगे महज 15 मिनट में

ग्रेटर नोएडा से गाजियाबाद का सफर आने वाले दिनों में महज 15 मिनट में पूरा हो सकेगा।इसके लिए एनएच-24 को जोड़ने वाली 1.5 किलोमीटर लिंक रोड का निर्माण दिसंबर से शुरू हो जाएगा। अकबरपुर-बहरामपुर गांव में पड़ रहे इस लिंक रोड के बीचों-बीच आ रहे मकानों को हटाने के लिए ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने मकान मालिकों को प्लॉट दे दिए हैं। इस लिंक रोड के बनने से ग्रेटर नोएडा के साथ-साथ गाजियाबाद और नोएडा के लोगों को भी काफी फायदा होगा।
ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने ग्रेटर नोएडा से नोएडा के बीच बनाए जा रहे 130 मीटर चौड़े एक्सप्रेस-वे के निर्माण का लक्ष्य 31 मार्च, 2011 रखा है। इसे ग्रेटर नोएडा में सिरसा गांव के पास से नोएडा के सेक्टर-71 के बीच बनाया जा रहा है। जिसमें अब तक 12.5 किलोमीटर रोड का काम पूरा हो चुका है। इस रोड के बनने से यहां से नोएडा और गाजियाबाद पहुंचना बेहद आसान हो जाएगा। इस रोड से पर्थला खंजरपुर पुल के पास से होकर गाजियाबाद पहुंचा जा सकेगा। 130 मीटर चौड़ा यह हाइवे जहां नोएडा और गाजियाबाद को जोड़ेगा वहीं सिरसा के पास यह ईस्टर्न पेरीफेरल एक्सप्रेस-वे को कनेक्ट करेगा। इसके बाद यह पलवल से सोनीपत तक जुड़ जाएगा। कनेक्टिविटी के लिहाज से भी यह एरिया काफी महत्वपूर्ण हो जाएगा।

Seven of the 14 stations proposed for the Rapid Transport System (RTS), to run from Anand Vihar in Delhi to Meerut, are likely to be in Ghaziabad.

This was revealed through a presentation at the office of Ghaziabad District Magistrate Hridyesh Kumar, where he was holding a meeting with citizens, industrialists and National Capital Region board members on Thursday evening.

While the rail service would start from Anand Vihar, it is proposed to pass through the Sahibabad, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Moradnagar and Modinagar stations in Ghaziabad district. Once it enters Meerut, it would pass through Meerut South, Shatabdi Nagar, Meerut Centre, Begumpur, Meerut North and finally wind up at the Pallavpuram depot.

According to Kumar, each station is proposed to be located at a distance of five km from the next. “Commuters plying between Meerut and Ghaziabad would reach their destinations in less than 45 minutes. The speed of the train is proposed to be between 130 and 160 km per hour,” he said.

Vaishali Metro Hurdles Being Cleared

Good news for the residents of Vaishali as the hurdles for the Delhi metro to reach Vaishali are being cleared. There were 5 power transmission towers that were of 11 meter height are being made to 29 meter high so that the way for Vaishali metro could be cleared. While the 4 towers have already been improved, the work on the 5th is expected to be finished by next week.
